Well so do I but this is an interesting comment!
William - I'm not sure exactly what your situation was. You make it
sound like horse-like pissing was possible in private, as if the zinc
knew when someone was watching!
Not long after I started eating paleo, when I was just starting to
notice the things that weren't quite right with my body, I started to
suspect that my mouse-like pissing every 45 minutes was probably not
normal, especially bearing in mind I'm 24 now, and this is only a few
years back. (It's funny how things that attack you slowly can get so
bad before you suspect anything.)
After some meetings with a idiot consultant at the hospital and some
unpleasant side-effect laden drugs (you don't want to know what), I
gave up on modern medicine and eventually found about pygeum
africanum and saw palmetto. Both of these extracts reduce prostate
swelling. Due to the fact they restored my urination to a, let's
say, dog-like level (we're not quite up to horse status yet), I
figure that means I did indeed have a swollen prostate. I always
assumed this was a symptom of damaged adrenals (I've got a fantastic
book on thyroid disease that explains all the hormones involved), but
according to google it can also be caused by zinc deficiency.
What confuses the issue, though, is that I read about someone else
who had a milk intolerance and similar problem, and his symptoms
cleared up immediately after cutting all dairy products. I suspect
mine might have, if I'd caught it sooner.
After learning that intolerance can cause long-term malabsorption, I
wonder if I'll ever sort through this mess and work at (a) what
exactly went wrong with my body and (b) how I can improve and maybe
cure it.

PS, William - what is it about my posts that make you think I'm not
drinking fluoridated water? I'm puzzled by that one...
