No, sweetie, not on this topic. But I don't think anything bad can
come of following Paleo principles. Prototypical diet by its
definition solves any diet-related issues; you already know that.
High blood pressure is definitely a modern ailment, a non-infectious
state brought on by internal distress. I think it's a natural for
dietary improvement. Anything diet doesn't fix - well, you know where
I'd head with that. It's very clearly a symptomatic response. So you
have to get a handle on it, and make him see where its coming from.
Then perhaps you can get him some good hoemopathic help later on,
when diet has done what it can.

You know, people just amaze me. They sit around wringing their hands
and saying they don't know why this is happening to them, and then
they turn around and eat some crap they KNOW is no good - but they
can't make the connection. If people were this dumb about their jobs,
everyone would get fired or go broke.

Pay attention to the good folks on this list, and branch out by
reading www.mercola.com and www.westonaprice.org. It IS possible to
take care of oneself, and this is the big change that's required for
him.

Well, rats. But you are right, I should address the diet more closely first. :) I was discussing this with William, about my SVT, so this is good timing to address both Myron's and my issues. It's all about the planning with me, which I didn't have the time to do over the holidays. As you know, we don't eat all that much processed food, but there are some things, like salad dressing, etc., that you just automatically reach for without thinking. So I need to sit down and plan out alternatives for those "automatic items". I did this years ago to address my candida and hypoglycemia, and it really wasn't that hard...included mostly what I eat anyway, but again, it was those little things that kinda threw me for a loop in the beginning. The hardest thing for me is the planning, as I'm a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants type of person, preferring to do what is easiest, not always the wisest, lol. And throwing a sandwich together is usually easier than cooking stuff up to eat
at work the next day. Sigh.

And you're right about people's stupidity. I used to try and "enlighten" all those who were blessed enough to come across my path, hehehe, but now I just keep my mouth shut for the most part. Nobody wants to hear it. I have several friends, very good friends, who are dealing with their newfound diabetes, cancer, etc., and it takes everything I have to shut the h*ll up when they're talking about what they can and can't eat. Oh my. And they all consider themselves to be mostly "natural" people. I guess the doctors win out when you're faced with big scarey news, that's all I can figure.

Anyway, thanks, Ginny-girl. I will work on this diet thing more seriously...maybe you'll be at a point to help us by the time we work this other stuff out!!! That would be terrific!!! :)

  Love,
Bren, headed out to the garage to cut up fresh deer guts for the dogs, another big fat sigh

And Bren, wishing her dogs were bigger so she wouldn't have to do this :(

PS Oh, and thanks for the links. Somehow I got deleted from Mercola's newsletter and I haven't been there to re-instate it...thanks for the reminder. I haven't been to Weston Price's site, so thanks for that, too, sweetie!!
