Job Description:
Part time and swing on-air announcing. Support staff at live remote
broadcasts. Production and voice-overs as assigned. Syndicated show
producer.WJQM can offer you state of the art facilities with all the
resources you need to learn, and excel. An enormous staff of seasoned
veterans that can teach you whatever you want to learn about radio. The
rare opportunity to pay your dues with one of the best Radio companies
in the industry.
Benefits:
This is a permanent part-time position; salary commensurate with
experience.
Send your best 3 minutes of un-scoped on-air material. If you have
production, put that on there too. We cannot import you from clear
across the country so if you live far away from Madison and can make it
here on your own accord then more power to ya. If you do not have prior
on-air experience, send your resume anyway!
Education Required:
Experience Required:
At least one year of prior on-air experience or enrolled in a related
media course in college or technical school. Flexible with availability
especially nights, weekends and holidays.
Other Requirements:
We are looking for a very motivated self-starter to be the go-to person
for fill-in duties, remote broadcast support, production and voice
overs. This person will possess an insatiable appetite for competition
and winning. Must be able to work closely with others and provide
insight and ideas in a fast paced environment. Must have knowledge of
basic radio station operating equipment. Must be able to take direction
and follow instructions. Must have the ability to leave the ego at the
door. That is most important.
