This is off subject but I just wanted to get the lists' opinion. I was at
my local health food store last week and saw that they were selling
pemmican. It was wrapped in a similar way to a candy bar and was
approximately the same size as a candy bar.
I picked it up, read the ingredients and was somewhat startled to find that
there was no meat included in the product. The pemmican bar consisted of
fruit, sugar, corn syrup, etc..
Is the term "pemmican" used for dried meat/fat, dried meat/fat/fruit, as
well as non-dried fruit/sugar, etc. foods?
