Hi Juergen,

I have been on paleo relatively strict since 2003. When I say relatively
strict I mean that I still take supplements, I still have decaf once or
twice a week, and on occasion - every 2 weeks maybe - I'll have corn chips
or something.

This weekend was bad. I was at a wedding and had cake, crackers, cheese,
etc. I am already regretting it and need to get back on the wagon starting
tomorrow. I normally don't splurge like this but I have been so frustrated
with my continued health and hormonal problems that I have gotten sort of a
"what's the point" attitude (also referred to as self-pity!). :)

Kristina, despite paleo diet (how long have you been practicing this?),
you may be hypoglycemic. If so, then you may be able to alleviate your
food cravings by taking about 1000 mg of L-glutamine between meals, 3
times per day, or 500 mg sublingually (open a capsule under your
tongue and let dissolve) as a "quick fix". This is from Julie Ross's
book "The Diet Cure". It may not be paleo, but it should be a temporary
measure. After a sufficient time of practicing paleo diet hypoglycemia
will fade away, but depending on your specific metabolic issues it can
take a while.
