Hi, tom,
You are not the only one having difficulty studying the BBible on
your own. I have been reading the BBible for a good while but it has
only been within the last year or less that I came to a more personal
understanding and appreciation of it. And I am often left wondering
what to read or what to try to commit to memory or how. I have access
to commentarries and other reference material but I still find
soritary Bible study difficult at times. I get a lot out of studying
and discussing the Bible with other christians.
If at all possible, I would encourage you to seek the fellowship of
others, preferably a local church and/or fellowship group and/or
something online. - And i know how difficult and frustrating
anexperience that can be also.
Iif you do not have one, I would encourage you to find a Bible
program that you can use on your computer. Theseusually offer a
choice of bible translations and other reference materials. Recently,
the online Bible was mentioned on here. my preferred program more
recently has been e-sword. other accessible Bible software is
Theophilos or Bibleseeker. All of these have free versions available.
I pray that God may bless you in your studies .
Cheers,
Doris
