If you live in the area of San Antonio, Texas please join Alamo Celiac San
Antonio for our meeting on Saturday at 10am. It will be held at Covenant
Presbyterian Church , 211 Roleto, San Antonio.
Jennifer Cinquepalmi will be speaking to us and offering nutritional
information and tidbits from the cooking classes she teaches at Central
Market and other places in the Dallas area. She will be baking yeast
bread, cinnamon bread, pumpkin muffins for us , and will bring two
additional things she made and brought from home.
This young mother found that she wasn't the only one trying to quickly
prepare a gluten free meal three times a day to feed a family. She will be
explaining her samples, why she chose these to bring, and she will tell her
family's Celiac story and how this book came to be. She also plans to give
us a sneak preview of what she will be presenting at the GIG National
meeting in June, 2008.
If you decide to buy her cookbook, she accepts Visa, MC, and Discover, and
will take checks made out to Aidant Books. If you want to pay cash, she has
made it easy for us by offering a discount. The book with tax retails for
$23.76, but she will offer it for $18.50 so that with tax it will come to an
even $20.00.
Jennifer will be bringing sample size portions, so we hope some of our
members will also be willing to bring some brunch dishes. A fruit platter
or baked goods will be welcome and should help us welcome our newer
members. If you have any questions about the meeting or what to bring,
give Anne a call at 210 340-0648 or <mailto:[log in to unmask]>
