Hello All:
I found a solution for modifying the spacing of tab stops in all
documents. It involves either modifying the "normal.dot" template or
you can create a new template. Here is how I modified the "normal.dot"
template.
1. Start Microsoft Word
2. Press ctrl-o to get to the file open dialog.
3. Do a shift tab one time, then press backspace until you hear, if
using JAWS, "Not Selected My Documents." In Window-Eyes you will hear
"my Documents No Selected Item."
4. Presss "m" until you hear "my computer," and press enter.
5. Press "l" for Local Disk (c:) and press enter.
6. Press "d" for Documents and settings and press enter.
7. Press the first letter of your user account name until you get to
your user account and press enter.
8. Press "a" for Application data and press enter.
9. Press "m" for Microsoft and press enter.
10. Press "t" until you hear templates and press enter.
11. Press "n" until you hear normal.dot and press enter.
12. Make any modifications in tab stops and other formatting for that
matter.
13. Press ctrl-s to save.
Now, when you bring up a blank document, the modifications you made to
normal.dot will be there.
