Kathy,

Glad to "see" you again!

I saw another post on another thread that mentioned depression. I'm not
sure if it was you they were addressing, but I know that you've been trying
to find another living situation, and when your parents went on vacation and
you ended up staying in a nursing home, I can definitely understand why that
would be depressing. As my wife and I age, we find that we need to ask for
help more often, and that isn't an easy change to make. I don't know if
your state (Wisconsin?) has host homes for people with significant
disabilities, but that might be something to check into, as it sounds like
you might need a bit more help with things than some of us on the list. If
I remember right, your parents are getting older, and you have concerns
about them, as well as what might happen to you as they become less able to
help you out. I'm here as an ear, and will help any way that I can.

Kendall

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress
depends on the unreasonable man.
