I agree with Meir.  This is no small issue.  You certainly should not have to handle being insulted and treated rudely.  I also agree with Linda -- it sounds like a clear violation of your legal rights.  Contacting her son, Jason, is a great idea.  Having an attorney (many towns and cities have legal aid organizations that provide pro bono attorneys) write a letter might also solve your issue.

It's especially hard to handle this kind of situation when you are shy.  And much harder when you are trying to stand up for yourself.
