Diplomacy and deals would have got us much further along that path than
the way things are going, and I honestly don't think Bush and his
cabinet planned for Israel to attack Lebanon - why would they? It makes
no sense to me. I think Israel has been chomping at the bit to go after
someone after Hezbollah took over from Hamas after they won the election
and after Arafat died. I believe the Syrians are behind this one.
