Hi, all.
For anyone interested, I have noticed that the new Kenwood TMV71A seems to
have enhanced reception on the NOAA weather frequencies. I'm not exactly
sure why they programmed the specific WX channels in the strange order that
they did, but the sensitivity and weather broadcast reception is phenomenal!
At first, I thought that maybe it's just conditions in the late summer
months, etc., but the reception seems to be extra-ordinary at various times
of the day.
This is especially important for me in my semi-rural location here in
west-central lower Michigan.
And, a question: Has anyone tried the weather alert function yet? Is it
just a general alerting thing, or can you actually program county-specific
SAME codes into it?
