Hi Lowell;
If you can use a TM-V7A you can use the 700.
It's a great radio.
I owned one however, it does get a little intermod on 2 meters.
But, you can program it with no problem from a computer or from the face plate on the front of the radio.
Have fun.

Subject: [BLIND-HAMS] Kenwood TMD700A Question?
Thanks for reading the following question!
I am blind and am going to Dayton Ham Vention Saturday to buy a new dual
band radio for the auto.
If you have used or own the TMD700A, please tell me how you like it and
perhaps any of its faults.
I will buy the synthesiser for it, of course.
Can it be programed from a computer easily?
I have also been reading about the new TMV71, but it does not have sky
command II which I want for the TS-2000.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
73 and thank you.
