Jeff,

Just lay down a start marker with left-bracket at the beginning of the sound you want to edit and a finish marker at the end.

Then, your editing will only affect that specific sound.

Subject: ot selecting part of a sound in Gold Wave for noise reduction

Hi everyone, I have yet another Gold Wave question, and that is with JAWS,
how can I select part of a sound for editing and reducing noise? I
haven't had any luck with any of the sounds where there is something I
  want to remove.
