Hi Lou;

They are almost the same radio in a smaller package.

Also, the 7000 has 440 while the 746 does not.

Also, the audio monitoring function is more flexible on the 746.

You can tell whether the compressor and other functions are changed but, you can't tell on the 7000.

I am using HAM RADIO DELUXE and when I check the color of the buttons with JAWS, I can tell whether a function is turned on or off.

That's about the most I've found so far.
