Aha! So what is so screaming wonderful about those who don't succumb? 
Are there any who don't suffer brain damage?
Secret bug-eaters? Raw paleo?
Oil of wild oregano is supposed to kill both bacteria and virii, but the 
nervous system is hard to fix, AFAIK.
I would love to know how to rebuild mine.
