Hi Everyone,

I want us to have some fun while raising money for a great cause!

As you may or may not know, fundraising is going on all over the country
for upcoming walks. These walks are in support of the research work
performed by Dr. Fasano at the Center for Celiac Research. I am organizing
my first walk here in Charlotte and it’s a huge undertaking but I think I
might just make it. Well anyway, last year I remember I posted a note on
the listserv asking if anyone who wasn’t walking to please consider making
a donation and then provided the link to Dr. Fasano’s web-site. This year
I’m playing it a little different…

I’m asking EVERYONE whether you are organizing, collecting, walking in
another walk OR not to donate directly to Dr. Fasano. Let’s really show
him our support in a personal way (in addition to all the other efforts).
I noticed his goal was set rather low on his personal page but the $100 is
a default goal so I’m sure it’s not by choice. Dr. Fasano, I do believe
you need to set higher goals – smiles!

“YOU CAN DO IT” can be our email chain campaign as in Dr. Fasano can come
up with a cure for us! Let’s get everyone to go to his web-page and donate
just $5 … of course, it can be more.. but when you give, include a little
THANK YOU or a motivating YOU CAN DO IT! It’s not the amount, it’s the
thought!

Let’s have fun giving and give him our personal wishes!! I got it kick
started, so go to his page today and send him a message. Then pass this
note to all your friends, family and everyone who has or cares about celiac!

Warm Regards, Janet
