Dear Listmates -
Thank you to everyone who responded.
I have no financial interest in any of these products.

Please note that if your store carries one of these brands, but not the variety that is gluten-free, you may want to ask the store manager is the variety you need could be ordered in:

1. Varieties that come in a glass jar, or I presume they did, since the emails didn't state otherwise:

Rokeach Gourmet Sweet variety - says no gluten of gluten-free on the front in a yellow circle with black print. Also says it on the side. I found this at Dominick's in the south suburbs of Chicago, near where we live.

Kedem - this was the sweet variety last year - don't know which variety has it this year, but it was the sweet variety, and it had the yiddish word for sweet on the label. It was one of the kosher for Passover varieties. Hamesche or something like that on the front, I think, not sure. One listmate said it was Kedem Premium - or one of the Kedem Premium varieties. Just read the label.

Benz's, at Stop and Shop, has a GF variety. I assume that's in a glass jar. I don't know if only one variety is GF, or which one.

2. Frozen gefilte fish
Ungar's - at Jewel-Osco (owned by Albertson's) here in the south suburbs of Chicago. This is a large (22 oz) frozen log, and you have to boil it in its wrapper and add onions, celery, and carrots (and salt and pepper) to the water before you cook it.

Freund's in Brooklyn, NY has great frozen gefilte fish logs, according to one listmate.

3. Other packaging
Streit's - One listmate, in Rochester, NY, wrote that Streit's has a GF variety made from carp, no other kind of fish in it, and it is in with the shelved Passover products, in a box the size of a frozen vegetable box, with a sealed black plastic container inside that is sealed with aluminum wrap.

That's the summary of all replies.
Have a good Passover, everyone!
-Vicki in Illinois
