Dear wonderful group,

I had a good discussion with my GP last night. My H-pylori test was
negative. I told him I was cured (fibromyalgia & CD sympoms) by going GF,
wholefoods, and adding regular exercise and that I didn't need my meds
(mainly the narcotics) anymore. He was so happy for me!! Crossing off all
those meds I was on in my chart with a big smile on his face, telling me how
he was going to use my story if I didn't mind- afterall, going GF /whole
foods is better nutritionally anyway, regardless of dx, so anyone can try it
just for the sake of improved health :)

When I told him the specialist had asked me to do the gluten challenge and I
didn't comply he said "What??? And why would you want to do that- have those
awful symptoms again for what- weeks, months??? Your improvement GF is all I
need". I almost kissed him on the spot!! Then we talked about the tests I
have scheduled for Crohns, and some of you may behappy to know he talked me
into going through with them. Apparently, the drugs they use these days last
20 min and then they wear off fast. And if everything is clean he won't
worry about me at all, he'll consider me cured by all means, he's looking at
the tests more as a preventive measure, simple internal check-up, like a
regular pap smear but for the bowels. He doesn't think I have crohns, or at
least if I do, its very mild. I just don't have those awful sympoms being GF
for a longer period of time now.

So I guess what I am most most happy with is my GP's awesome attitude. It of
course puts my thoughts at ease and I don't feel like I need to dread the
tests and possible results (which is what I wanted to get away from,
negative thoughts, wanted to just let this all go- yesterday). He figures
why not do the tests, they're already scheduled, but at the same time, he is
fully supporting my attitude that I can heal myself. What a beautiful
compromise.

If anyone lives in the Fraser Valley, BC, let me know and I'll give you this
doctor's name. He's a real doll.

Thanks to all again for your loving thoughts and support.

With love,
Darcie
