Hi Dave,
Sometimes after replacing the batteries, you need to re-sync the mouse with
it base receiver. There is usually a button on the receiver (the part that
plugs into the computer) that you press, there is also a button on the mouse
itself. Press the button on the mouse within a few seconds of pressing the
one on the receiver. This should re-sync the two.
