Well, my stepson being the "Patient 19 y/o" that he is went ahead and just installed the new copy of XP Pro over the old one and now, as suspected, all the programs that were installed are not working. He didn't reformat the drive, so it appears that most of the actual data is still there. Is there any way to recover my wife's saved email and bookmarks from the old copy of Netscape that she was using before this? I think we may be out of luck because he has also already downloaded and installed a newer version of Netscape! Thanks for the answer to my question, I just wish I had gotten a chance to Use it! I guess I should have told them Specifically NOT to do anything until I figured out what exactly we needed to do!
