These Tool bars are highly customizable.
The solid grey bars can be moved up, down, left and right to make
more/less room for other bars/buttons. Right-click any tool bar and
select "Customize" to add/remove buttons.
I suspect you just need to make a little more room for the standard
buttons to see your back button again.
I usually do without the standard buttons at all, and use the
right-click button to perform all these functions. This gives me more
screen real estate.
