570 C.E .53 B.H.Abraha, the Abyssinian governor of Yemen, attacks Makkah
(in present day Saudi Arabia) with a large army mounted on elephants, which
is destroyed by the will of God.See Surah Al-Fil of the Holy
Quran.
Death of the Prophet's father, Abdullah.
The birth of Prophet Muhammad in Makkah on 12th Rabi-al-Awwal.
51 B.H. Birth of Hadrat Abu Bakr (R.A.)
48 B.H. Death of Amina, mother of the Prophet.
47 B.H. Birth of Hadrat Uthman bin Affan(R.A.)
46 B.H. Death of Abdul Muttalib, the Prophet's grandfather.
41 B.H. The Prophet's first trip to Syria with Abu Talib.
Birth of Hadrat Omar bin al-Khattab(R.A.), also known as Omar Farooq)
591 C.E.Khosrau II became the king of the Sassanids.
595 C.E.28 B.H.The Prophet Muhammad marries Khadijah(Radhi Allaho Anha), a
noble lady of the Quraish tribe.
20 B.H. Birth of Ali bin Abi Talib (R.A.)
610 C.E.14 B.H.Heraclius in Constantinople.
The Prophet Muhammad was visited by the angel Jibrael (Gabriel) (pbuh) who
asked him to read from the Holy Qur'an.
Khadijah, Abu Bakr and Ali were the first to accept Islam.
9 B.H. The first migration of Muslims to Habasha (Ethopia,
Africa)
8 B.H. Hamza (R.A.), the Prophet's uncle accepts Islam
Omar (R.A.) accepts Islam.
7 B.H. Boycott of the Bani Hashim by the Quraish in
Shob-i-Ali.
4 B.H. End of the boycott.
Death of Abu Talib.
Death of Khadijah, the beloved wife of the Prophet.
3 B.H. The Prophet's visit to Taif.
The first group of persons from Madinah accepts Islam.
2 B.H. The first oath of Aqaba.
Isra and Miraj, the night journey of the Prophet to Jerusalem and to the
Heavens.
1 B.H. The second oath of Aqaba.
614 C.E.Jerusalem was conquered by the Sassanids.
622 C.E.1 A.H. Prophet Muhammad and fellow Muslims migrate to Madina.
The beginning of the Islamic calendar from Hijrah year 1.1.01 A.H., on
Friday, July 16, 622 C.E.
Prophet lays the foundations of the Quba Masjid. Masjid Nabavi is also
built.
The Azan is instituted and Bilal (R.A.)acts as the first muezzin.
2 A.H. The Qibla is changed from Masjid Al-Aqsa to Masjid al-Haram.
Fasting in the month of Ramadan is ordained.
The Battle of Badr occurs on 17th of Ramadan 2 A.H.
Sayyidah Fatima (R.A.) marries Hadrat Ali (R.A.)
3 A.H. The Battle of Uhud
5 A.H. The Battle of the Trench
The Prophet marries Zainab bint Jahash, the divorced wife of Zayd.
6 A.H. Hudaybiyah Peace Treaty
Khalid bin Walid and Amr bin al-Aas accept Islam after the Treaty.
King Najashi of Axum (Ethiopia) accepts Islam.
The Egyptian ruler sends a maiden Mariah as a gift for the Prophet. Mariah
accepts Islam and becomes a wife to the Prophet.
Badhan, the Persian governor of Yemen, accepts Islam.
7 A.H. The Battle of Khaybar
The Prophet performs Umrah with his Sahabah
The Prophet marries Safiyah
8 A.H. Conquest of Makkah. The Prophet enters Kabah on Friday,
20th of Ramadan and orders the demolition of all idols.
9 A.H. The Battle of Tabuk
The Prophet sends Sahabah for Hajj, headed by Abu bakr.
Non-Muslims are forbidden to enter Masjid al-Haram from this date forward.
10 A.H. The Farewell Hajj (pilgrimage) of the Prophet Muhammad
with more than 100,000 Muslims.
632 C.E.11 A.H.The Prophet Muhammad(SAWS) died in the city of Madinah on
Monday, the 12th Rabi-al-Awwal, at the age of 63.
Abu Bakr succeeds him as Caliph.
