I am also a nurse and a Celiac. Several years ago I went through the
Hepatitis vaccince series THREE TIMES. I never converted and finally
gave up. I was told it's possible that it didn't "take" because I have
Celiac. Getting the vaccine was required for my job, but after the third
try, the issue was dropped. I worked in a very high risk area and was
as cautious as I could be, knowing I had no extra protection.
