John,

When in PowerDVD, use the context menu button on your computer to pop up a
menu of choices regarding the dvd in your drive.  The program can be
successfully used that way.  WinDVD is similarly accessible.

Hello fellow listers:

Well, now I truly know why I've never bothered to buy any DVDs. I received 
two as Christmas gifts this year. Now, I don't have a "stand alone" player, 
(well, okay, I do; my new Polk I-Sonic entertainment system does play DVDs),

but since I don't seem to be able to navigate through the DVD on the 
I-Sonic, I figured I'd try the computer, on which I have three programs 
available to me: real player, power DVD, and windows media player. Guess 
what; all I can do with any of these is to hear the same clip over and over 
again!

So, simply put, what are you folks using out there to play DVDs on your 
computer? Would any of the three players I've mentioned here be more 
workable with JAWS scripts? I can't even access any menu choices with power 
DVD, though I've heard that blind folks have used that program successfully.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide.
