The stock TH-F6A battery lasts a long time, no doubt about it. If you
want a second one, though, I'd recommend getting an after-market
one. They're somewhat cheaper and you can get one from
www.batteriesamerica.com that's about twice the stock battery's
capacity.
BTW, be careful with the antenna connector. I guess I should send my
HT off to get the antenna connector replaced. Again. Second time. The
SMA connectors can snap if you are careless (like me). I wish they'd
stuck to BNC's for HT's!
