I sent my VX5-R. back to HRO several years ago when I got it.  I didn't like 
its inaccessibility, or the strange lineup of the keypad which puts the 
star, zero pound keys vertically on the right side of the keypad instead of 
across the bottom row as is the case on most other rigs.  But I understand 
Barbara Lombardy had one and loved it.  So maybe she can chime in on it.
