Hi Brian;

Since mid OCT. of 06 I have been through three HF radios.

ICOM 746 PRO

ICOM 7000

and, the

KENWOOD 480

I came full circle and went back to the TS-2000 with the HEIL ProSet 5
headset.

With or without the hand mic, the 2000 just blows everything else out of the
water on both transmit and receive.

With the above radios I mentioned, I always felt as though I were in a pile
up.

Most everyone would ask me to repeat my transmissions.

It was really nerve racking.

Now, that I am on the 2000 if I whisper, people can hear me with the HEIL
headset or the hand mic without any problem.

The receive audio is very pleasant to listen to as well.

The other radios were either too sharp or not sharp enough or not enough
bass.

Needless to say I won't be changing again any time soon.

  Luke,

You make me feel better about my TS-2000!

I have found the same to be true. I do however have the tw2 also and will
have to see how accurate it is on 6 meters. I was thinking my ts-2000 was
having a problem with the finals or something!
