Check out the Kenwood THD7AG handheld.
Yes, you can monitor both bands at the same time.
I am blind and program it from the key pad.
I also have the software for computer programing but do not use it much.
Also, Handihams have the manual on MP3 CD.
I think you will like it!
I also use sky command with it to operate my TS2000 remotely.
