Most of the time we used either a Wollensak, Revier, Webcore or sometimes
Wilcox Gay/allied radio I think, tape machine, and you couldn't talk over
intros, but you could flat do some long range AM broadcasting, most of the
"inventor's doings were on 1620kc, and we had a couple of reports of WFSB
being heard eight or so miles out from school. Funny thing, sometimes my
buddy would take his broadcasting antenna, some TV twinlead, down, and run
it instead, as speaker connect wire, so he could play his music for dances,
and at the same time broadcast what was going on, over a smaller area of
course, but on the air, nonetheless. what a lot of fun, and what a can of
worms, hi hi.
