The 72 ohm is the matching harness lengths and a slight impedance
transfer will need to be done to match 50 ohm.

It's a very good thought; however, they always worn about shortening the
cable because the impedance will not match the antenna properly.
Wouldn't the same be true for lengthening it?  Someone told me that
there are already to center loading antenna's right where the driver's
side of the coach meets the roof.  I climbed up and looked at one of
them and it seems very old and very light weight.  Before I invest in
another I'll try them first but I doubt if they are still any good.  I'm
still going to follow the advice of getting a cheap radio and a good
antenna.  Thanks for all of this good advice.  Also, I have bin advised
to use 50 ohm cable but firestick talks about 72 ohm cable with their 2
antenna system.  Nothing is simple yet, is it?
