     ULAA NATIONAL PRESIDENT TO INDUCT
       WISCONSIN CHAPTER LEADERS

ULAA National President Emmanuel S. Wettee will this
weekend be in Wisconsin to induct newly elected
President Minerva Grant-Settro and her new corps of
elected leaders of the Liberian Association of
Wisconsin (LAW). The program will take place in
Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday, January 27, 2007.

The ULAA Boss will be in Wisconsin at the head of a
ULAA delegation which will also include ULAA National
Board Chairman Anthony V. Kesselly, Northern Regional
Vice President Gaye D. Sleh and National Social
Services Council Executive Director, Dr. Mariah Seton.

According to the Inaugural Committee, former ULAA
National President Roberta Rashid will serve as the
Inaugural Speaker. It will be recalled that it was
during the era of the Kromah/Rashid Administration
that the Liberian Community in Wisconsin became a
chartered member of ULAA. The Chapter has since
continued to be active in all Union activities,
hosting the Union’s 31st National General Assembly in
October 2005.

The new LAW President, Mrs. Grant-Settro, emerged
victorious over her challenger, Mr. Austin Obodo, in
community-wide elections that were held on Saturday,
October 14, 2006. She succeeds former LAW President
Kervin Soko.

In addition to Mrs. Grant-Settro, executive officers
to be inducted are Mrs. Elizabeth Garwo-Stewart as
Vice President, Mr. John Boakai as General Secretary,
Ms. Cecelia Cole as Treasurer and Mr. Isaac Settro as
Assistant General Secretary. Those to be inducted on
the LAW Board are Dr. Wilmot Walmu, Mr. Richard Yarl,
Mr. Mamadee Keita, Mr. Richard Forley, and Mr. Gyude
Allison.

ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL SECRETARIAT

Isaac S. Zawolo, Jr.
