It is superb stuff.

Stretch it up to 4 times is resting length, wrap it around the connector,
and it seals itself to itself - you will be hard pressed to remove it!

I think they're talking about rubber tape. Rubber tape is the coolest
stuff on earth. Well, OK, maybe not, but it's hella cool anyway.
