INTRODUCTIONS: We will introduce ourselves and briefly state how long we have
been gluten free.
FAVORITE COOKBOOKS: Bring 1 to 3 of your favorite gluten free or allergy food
free cookbooks to share with our group. Especially consider cookbooks that
tell us how to substitute for gluten free flours, dairy intolerance, egg
replacement, etc.
NEW CELIAC AWARENESS GROUP: The mission of the National Foundation for Celiac
Awareness (NFCA) is to raise awareness of celiac disease among the public and

GIG HAS MOVED!! The GIG office is now located at 31214 - 124th Ave SE in

GLUTEN INTOLERANCE AND DIABETES WORKSHOP: Cynthia Kupper, RD, GIG Executive
Director, and Becky Blodgett, RN will present a workshop for people with
diabetes and wheat or gluten allergies or celiac disease. This free workshop will be
held Saturday Oct 14 from 10:00am-noon in the Puyallup Eagles #2308 at 202 -
5th St NW in Puyallup. Please RSVP to Pierce County Diabetes Association at
253-272-5134.
MANNA GLUTEN FREE FOOD GALA: Saturday, November 18 from 9am-6pm. Manna Mills
will hold a Gluten Free Food Gala. They are located at 21705 - 66th Avenue
West in Mountlake Terrace. Call 425-775-3479 for more information.
GLUTENFREE SAMPLES: Thanks to Dona McGowan, Julie Poole and Richard Schaadt,
we will enjoy prepared samples from Miss Roben's gluten free mixes for
brownies, cake and sugar cookies. Bring baggies, saran wrap or paper plates to take
samples as you leave.
DISCUSSION TOPIC: Beyond Gluten Intolerance: Testing for Other Food
Allergies, Intolerances and Autoimmune Diseases.
