Since I posted this I had at least a dozen responses, and one lady
suggested using the "Funyums" for a topping. I have since re-written
the recipe to make it easier, and used all milk. It works for me. Beth
GREEN "MEAN" CASSEROLE
Sautee 1 can mushrooms in a small amount of oil.
Put 1 ¼ milk in a 2 qt casserole and heat to boiling in the MW.
Add 2 pkgs Lipton Cup o Soup, Cream of Chicken flavor.
Stir in ½ tsp Xanthan gum
Mix well to blend. Let cool.
Pour over 3 cans drained green beans. Add the mushrooms.
Top with crushed potato chips, “Funyums,” or toasted almonds.
Heat in 350 degree oven till bubbly, covered.
