Thyroid Folks,

It's easy to switch your Thyroid subscription from individual
messages (like 20 to 25 or more per day) to a single daily digest.
All it takes is a simple e-mail message saying

set Thyroid digest

sent to the robot at:         [log in to unmask]

The administrative robot will switch your subscription so that
within 24 hours you'll begin getting *one* larger message per day
that combines all the Thyroid messages for 24 hours.

Also, World Wide Web users can set their subscriptions to Digest
from the Thyroid mailing list page at:

        http://www.Emissary.Net/thyroid

Digest Advantages and Disadvantages

Some people find reading the daily messages all at once to be
easier.  For these folks a daily digest might be the way to go.  But
others say it's a little harder to reply to a single message within
a daily digest.  You have to cut and paste more.  Instead of just
cutting out the excess from just one message, you have to remove all
the other messages from the day.  And you have to change (copy and
paste) the Subject: line to keep the thread-subject going.

And digest does not allow you to just hit the delete button for
messages/people you don't want to read - they're in there in the
order that LISTSERV received them, and you have to scroll past them.
I guess you have to take the bitter with the sweet.  8=]'
