I ordered a salad at McDonald's and asked for a lite Italian dressing and received Newman's brand and I thought their dressings were GF. I glanced at the ingredients and in Bold it said CONTAINS MILK, SOYBEAN and FISH
(ANCHOVY) INGREDIENTS. So I didn't think much about it and ate my salad. Then for some reason (I guess I was bored) I decided to read all the ingredients and it has listed barley malt extract (contains barley gluten)!
I almost always read the label even for ingredients I use all the time but I let my guard down a little and this is a reminder that we need to check even things we are sure are GF.
Forrtunately I didn't get sick especially since I was on jury duty. If I would have had to spend a lot of time in a bathroom (that was not sound proof) which would have been embarassing plus it would have held the trial up.
