Subject: [VICUG-L] Removing Software You Can't Find in Add/Remove Programs
Date: Wed, 30 Jan 2008 10:29:54 -0600
Hello All:
I have a client that has Windows Messenger Version 4.74 on her system
and she'd like to get rid of it. Since there is not a program group for
this software with an uninstall routine in it, and, since we can't find
this software listed under add/remove programs, I would like to know if
anyone knows the best way to remove this program? Specifically, do you
know the registry keys for this program, and do you know what we should
remove? I was going to have her remove the messenger folder under
c:\program files, but didn't know what other problems that would cause
and I also want to help her remove the appropriate registry keys.
Any help is appreciated.
