There is very little "grain" left in grain alcohol after fermentation
and distillation, but it's hard to know for sure since some organic
substances /do/ remain at least in trace amounts.

But grain alcohol, as any strong alcoholic beverage, is not paleo.
One can argue that some fermented fruit beverages such as maybe 
apple cider are paleo in some sense... after all even cows like 
to eat "spoiled" apples for the alcohol they contain.  But anything
that's distilled clearly isn't.
