When I tried this years ago, I used an electric coffee grinder. It powders  
the seeds, recommended at the time.
The link mentions this, not a blender.

The link also says you can grind flaxseed and then store it for months!
Before you try this, please read the real expert's book "Fats that Heal,  
Fats that Kill" by Udo Erasmus.
He writes IIRC that ground flaxseed is so highly perishable that it's only  
good for 15 minutes, maximum.

It is still a seed and likely shares at least some of the defenses of  
plants against being eaten.
