Could this be the inevitable power struggle between mother  and baby?
Baby wants to eat when baby pleases, and mother is training baby to eat at  
mealtimes?
If that's true, then baby not eating is more of a political ploy than a  
matter of taste.

Wonder what a paleo mom would have given her baby - maybe bits of raw  
whatever. Your use of the word "prepared" made me think of this.
