When i programmed my IC t90, I used the first 10.
I think you are getting confused with scan edges, which are non-programmable
memory channels anyway.
You can program them for beginning and end scan limits and that is it, but
they don't even factor into the regular 500 memories.
I program my own frequencies startting with channel 000.
