matt:
if the air conditioning unit has a horizontal surface, and it gets far
enough away from the outside wall, just slap the mag mount on it.
It will actually perform better because it will have an excellent ground
plain with the sheet metal ducting.
It won't, or shouldn't effect the running of the AC, and you shouldn't get
more noise on the radio because of it.
Remember, its a ground, and not an electrical ground, it's an RF ground
which means nothing is actually electrically connected to the ducting.
