Hi John,

You may wish to check your mail settings. For some reason, your messages
are being duplicated and there are usually about three of the same message
when you send it. Not sure what might be happening there.

On the adapter question, when you install software from a CD which is what
usually comes with the ones I've seen, you will need to assign a serial port
number to the virtual serial port that is created. Just make sure the com
port numbers in ham radio deluxe include that number before assigning it.
Where your computer has no serial ports, this may not even be an issue.

Once you get the virtual serial port set up, then make sure HRD points to it
and make sure that the communication parameters in HRD match those of your
radio. Things should go well after that. I've run HRD with both a Kenwood
TS-480 and my Icom IC-746 Pro with good results in either case.

Good luck and please let us know your progress. Very 73 for now.

Kevin :)

When you say Serial ports must match -- my PC does not habe any Serial
ports. It seems no Serial ports is the new way.

Thanks
