Hi Ken;
You can also listen to HD radio on your computer.
If you have a broad band connect I would think the quality would be more
=
than adequate.

Here in the DC area many of the stations are providing HD radio. I =
have not
tried it yet and as long as the content of the hd is the same as the
analogue then I would not spend the extra money. But some stations =
are
starting to broadcast HD-2 and HD-3. I think it's great to have more
variety, but hopefully not at the expense of audio quality. Below are
=
a
couple of links, one lists all the stations in the DC area offering HD
radio. The other is the link to WAMU, who have announce two HD =
broadcast,
one Jazz and one Folk. You can listen to the content by using the =
live
audio stream.

John,
While it's certainly true that better and more content can be =
delivered,
that's not what's happening right now according to one friend of mine
=
who
bought an HD radio. It seems to me that right now, the broadcasters =
are
still trying to work kinks out of the system, so you may find that =
content
and service vary widely. I suspect that's the reason for lack of
commercials. I have no doubt that stations would run ads if they =
could, but
right now there just aren't that many people out there with HD =
receivers.
Perhaps in another two or three years, HD may be the way to go, but =
unless
you have that pioneering spirit (which I don't when it comes to new
technology), you may want to hold off for a while. On the other hand,
=
if
you're really curious, go for it!
