I have been "on" the paleo diet in a desultory way for a couple of years
now and have felt that when I stayed on it my bp went way down. Recently
my wife decided to try the Dash diet, which is specifically to counter
high bp. I was on it pretty seriously for 3 weeks, only to see my bp
rise and stay high, more than ever in the past.
So I switched to a pretty strict paleo diet and in 3 days my bp dropped
precipitously and has stayed down.
I believe that a lot of this will vary with the individual, but for me
the paleo diet works wonders. Exercise did not work for me and I do not
have a weight problem. I am a 64 year old male.
BTW, the Whole Foods store I have always shopped at stopped carrying
buffalo meat a while back but I discovered by accident that all you have
to do is order it and they'll get some in for you.
