Hi;
once you get things configured so echo link gets past your router and 
firewall you will be fine.  Getting that done, however, was a bit of an 
adventure.  These are the times you hope you have a favor or two you can 
call in.

You will have to configure all firewalls, including the hardware router
firewall, and the software firewall to accept, or forward ports 5198, 5199
and 5200 to your computer.
Ports 5198 and 5199 are UDP incoming and outgoing, and port 5200 is TCP
incoming and outgoing.
Sounds like your brother knows how to configure the various rules, so let
him know to forward those ports and those protocalls to your machine and
everything should be fine.
