Pastor Ted Haggert was pastoring a Charismatic church of 14,000 people, yes,
that is correct, 14,000 people in Colorado Springs which is 65 miles south
of Denver.  It is also where Focus on the Family is based and many other big
ministries.  Pastor Ted was exposed by a male prostitute on radio here in
Denver last week.  We had a gay rights item to vote on today.  this man,
Mike Jones, wanted to try and effect that vote, he said, and he also said he
was tired of this man's, Pastor Ted's hypocrisy.  Pastor Ted had been having
sex with this 50 year old male prostitute for apparently three years.  He
had also been using him as a source of bying crystal meth or at least tried
using him as a source.  Pastor Ted has confessed this problem has kept
returning to his life since he was an adult.  Focus on the Family is somehow
involved in helping the church but due to our mid term elections, the last
couple of days have been filled with voting issues and not as much as been
said about what Ted is doing and saying.  Otherwise, there isn't much to
report.  Ted has a wife and five children.  His 23 year old son is pastoring
a church in Boulder, Colorado, which is 35 miles north of Denver.
