Hello,

As far as I know, there's no obligation for us protestants to attend New 
Years Eve services.  Hwoever, many of us enjoy going to ring in the new Year 
with those of like faith.  It's also a better alternative than many worldly 
celebrations where there's accessive drinking, etc.
