We were in Windsor,Ont. for a few days last week. Most of our meals were
provided by the catering department of the Holiday Inn Select; they
accomodated my needs very nicely. I got a bit tired of chicken but at
least I wasn't given gluten. We had luch one day at Thanisis - a Greek
restaurant. The salads were very nice. We ate one evening at Caldwell's
Grant in Amherstburg - south of Windsor. The food was excellent and they
were aware of GF and very helpful.

On our way back to NY, we stayed at Niagara-on-the-Lake and had dinner at
the Peller Estates Winery restaurant. We had eaten there a couple of
years ago before GF and thought it was great. I'm happy to say there was
no need to change our opinion. It turns out one of the chefs is a celiac
so there was absolutely no problem. The food was wonderful as was the
service. It's pricey but worth it. The next day we had lunch at Zee's
Patio and Grill on Picton St. - across from the Shaw Festival Theatre. A
nice place with interesting presentations and good food.

I had received the two responses below to my query sent out before
leaving. We didn't stay near either but I'll keep them in the file.

Don't even think about it. Just go. You will love it! Pizza Pasta, all GF.
About 10-15 minutes outside of niagara falls. When done, take a stroll
down by the water and check out the antique merry go round for 10 cents.

If you do not have children under 19 the Casino across from the Hilton has
a wonderful buffet. They will walk you through and tell you the foods
that are GF. They also have a gf dessert now.
You can actually order a gf meal. I ordered an omelette and home fries one
time and it was hot and made a nice addition to all of the wonderful
fruits and other goodies I could eat. This is about $26.00 per couple. Of
course for the dinner menu there they have tons of shrimp, crab legs, all
kinds of sea food. This is about $50. per couple.
We ate at the Keg in one of the Hotels near the Casino and it was awesome.
Just remind them that you can't have the mushroom sauce, we ended up
getting a free dinner because they messed up my steak dinner. The
location is awesome and really great food.
Of course there is always Swiss Chalet in a pinch. Just don't have the
fries.

Thanks for the responses and I hope my report is helpful.
